Why is TB preventive therapy (TPT) important in your community?
TB is a preventable disease through TPT. It’s important to prevent Latent TB infection (LTBI) from progression to active TB. Nobody, including the PLHIV community, should die of a disease that is preventable.
Why is TB preventive therapy (TPT) important in your community?
Can you describe the major goals of your IMPAACT4TB advocacy project? How will your work advance access to TB preventative therapy in your country?
We will build and generate community response by strengthening their advocacy capacity to demand for 3HP-based TPT as a strategy in the revised NTEP Guidelines.
What gaps do you think are important to address?
For effective and continued dialogue between the National Program System and the community, we need to address the need to create “community space” in the NTEP program.
What does it mean for you to be an IMPAACT4TB grantee?
This project will help collectivize and organize the community to initiate community response towards the neglected TPT strategy, so the community starts taking ownership towards demanding TPT in a larger scale.
